Walking Three Bar T Publishing
A little history..Introducing a new voice in western literature
Walking Three Bar T Publishing, Inc., is the home of Waltz Against the Sky, a novel exploring the impact of randomness and moral ambiguity upon the lives of its characters.
The Walking Three Bar T Publishing Company is named for an iconic cattle brand first registered in 1940 by brothers Norman and Stanley Larum– young cowboys who were leasing a piece of bottom land along the Missouri River in eastern Montana that was about to be flooded by the infilling of Fort Peck Reservoir, one of the great projects of the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. The brand remains a working cattle brand to this day and we are grateful for permission to use the name for this publishing house. It is a small tribute to an astonishing family legacy. Our thanks to Paul and Sharon Toussaint, who purchased the brand along with the family ranch in western Montana, for allowing us this privilege.
A Story Masterfully Told
Whether I was totally absorbed in the unfolding of events, enjoying the scenery described, or being reminded of my own journalism classes at Rutgers, Waltz Against the Sky was truly an enjoyable read. The novel’s flashbacks were handled so skillfully and transitioned so smoothly that they effortlessly knit together a complex storyline, and the wrap-up came as a complete and most enjoyable surprise. It was a story masterfully told with dignity by one obviously enjoying the task. I found it refreshing to see the principal character portrayed as your basic all-around nice guy enjoying his profession and, most of all, his life. Thanks for a really great story.
